Open Belgian Championships LD, Kessenich (Long Distance, flat water)

€15.00 – €25.00Join us in Kessenich for the highly anticipated third Belgian Open in the SUP trilogy, where elite paddlers and enthusiasts alike will gather for the Belgian Championships in Long Distance Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP). This event promises thrilling competition, scenic views, and a supportive community atmosphere, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Maasplassen.
Event Highlights:
- Location: Masurfspot, Kessenich, nestled on the Maasplassen. The river Meuse, which feeds these waters, originates from the Langres plateau in France, winding through the French and Belgian Ardennes before reaching Dutch Limburg at Eijsden. The water levels are dependent on seasonal precipitation, making each race unique.
- Competition Categories:
- Elite Men and Women: Beach start with three rounds of 5,000m, concluding with a beach finish.
- Youth (U18): Beach start, three rounds of 5,000m, ending with a beach finish.
- Recreational Paddlers: Beach start, two rounds of 5,000m, ending with a beach finish.
- Kids (U14): Beach start with a single round of 5,000m, finishing on the beach.
Prize Money and Awards:
We are excited to announce that the top three finishers in both the Elite Men and Women categories will be rewarded with prize money:
- 1st Place: €150
- 2nd Place: €100
- 3rd Place: €50
In addition to the prize money, we’re working hard to ensure that all participants leave with unique souvenirs and gimmicks as a token of appreciation for their participation.
